AUTOMOTIVE SERVICES
Automotive Maintenance has literally changed
before our eyes. What do we mean? Simply put, cars are built
better than ever before. Not a little better, but a lot
better, and we can prove this. Walk into any Independent
Automotive Repair Shop and ask how many miles are on the
average vehicle they work on. Most people remember when
a car had seventy to eighty thousand miles on it you had
to get rid of it. By the time it reached a hundred thousand
miles it was ready for the scrap pile. Maintenance was not
an issue for a vehicle that would not be around long; most
of us did not see a need for that investment.
This is not the case with vehicles on the road
today. Two hundred thousand miles is reachable, and that
number is not the limit. Just think of the money saved by
not replacing your car as often! But those cost savings
can only happen with an investment of proper maintenance.
Many parts on your car are what we call consumables. Tires,
brakes, fan belts, various filters, fluids, ignition parts,
hoses suspension parts, etc. are all designed to be "used
up" as you drive. But these items are often neglected until
there is a problem with the operation of your vehicle. But
with the proper maintenance you could be driving into that
second one hundred thousand miles, and beyond, with the
confidence you deserve.
